Christian Wood still available.
Bronc is seething. It's all a conspiracy against Wood.
Great teammate.

Dude's been with like 10 teams in his short career, total coincidence.
Someone will have him on a roster, likely at a decent price, and he will contribute.
And then he will be elsewhere the following year

Man Christian wood would fit perfectly on this team as the back up 4 who can stretch the floor. This is pretty much a boom or bust year anyway, might as well go big or go home.

It looks like the Spurs sent out four first round picks in the deal also, two to dallas and two to Boston
Where did you get that idea?

No chance the Pels would be interested IMO.

0. His stay is well documented down here. He burns bridges everywhere he goes.

Nba is full of divas. I don’t see how he doesn’t play out his 4 year contract.

Christian Wood is a cancer. Don't want him near this team.

The FO hated his guts at the end and the feeling was mutual.

Idk if this is just twitter influencing me, but it feels like we are getting to a point where owners are going to stop caring so much about trading for an "unhappy" player who still has several years left on his contract. I understand worrying about that if you want to resign him within a year or 2, but a guy like Dame isn't going to ruin the rest of his career simply because he didn't go to the team he wanted. He'll get over it after a while with his new team. This is just a leverage play.

All of the owners saw what Harden did.
Stars always get their way. It is what it is.

I would be a terrible owner because my petty arse wouldn’t even trade him, I would just let him ride the pine for the remainder of his contract lol. Paying 50 mil a year lmao

I really hope Portland trades him somewhere other than Miami.

They SHOULD. They should send him somewhere where they can get the best return.
But if I had to guess a multi-team complicated deal wherein Portland gets decent but not spectacular return works its way through with Dame going to Miami.
Outside of Kawhi, it always seems to happen this way. And Kawhi won a championship, was an absolute god in Toronto, and still bolted immediately.

It's one thing if a guy like Jrue says: "Hey, I've paid my dues here in New Orleans, and I'd really like you to trade me to a contender."
It's something completely different when Dame signs an extension through 2026-27, and then a year later, he asks out and insists on being traded to one and only one team.

Like a week after meeting with the FO and telling them they were all good and they sign Jerami Grant to a crazy contract.

Exactly. There's a massive chasm between a team saying, "Let's do good by our player who has played well for us and trade him to a contender", and a player dictating, "Trade me to this one team or I will tank my value so that no other teams want to trade for me".
I don't get the people who say, "a player should be able to choose where they play". They already have that choice, it's free agency. This isn't the NFL where players can get franchise tagged. No one forced Lillard to sign that massive contract with the Blazers.

quote:It is situations like this that make me wish teams had the power to petition to the NBA to have the contract voided and make him a free agent. It is ridiculous that he signed a $250 million contract last year and is demanding that the Blazers put his wants and needs ahead of their organization. He should be suspended for his actions.
