Lakers have the hardest schedule going forward. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that they sustain another minor injury to either Lebron or Russ and they start shutting things down for their starters.

I hate to root for injuries, but more games like Sunday will make it something like this move them down to 11 with more losses.

Been watchin' quite a bit of Jabari lately. I had him #1 but starting to lean back to Chet as my favorite. THE GUY CAN SHOOT...AND DEFEND. Now, if he can just gain about 50 lbs or so...

Jabari has that ability to protect the rim, grab a board, go down and pull up and hit a three at a top 90 percentile rate.

He's still my #1 right now.

Also just because Chet worries me with his body.

Between Zion and Porzingas, these sorts of unicorn big men seem to be pretty high risk.

But lucking into Chet would be fine by me too. IF Chet can stay healthy and live up to his potential, he's basically the ideal defensive, switchable stretch 5 next to Zion and Bi.

Always looking for another reason why LeBron (& Lakers) might shut things down. So...to be competitive down the stretch, either LeBron and/or Melo will be playing a bunch at the "5". (Assuming NOBODY thinks Dwight can play very much if you're actually trying to win) LeBron and/or Melo are gonna get REALLY tired of banging inside against a true "5" after a coupla games and if you listen closely, you can hear LJ sayin' to Melo... "To hell with this...let's shut this thing down"

We should hope Westbrook plays every minute of every game for the rest of the season.

One great thing about having JV is Chet (or any other rookie 5) would be under no pressure to bulk up ASAP. He can add weight naturally, while playing limited minutes as a rookie. Then bump up his minutes in year 2, and again in year 3.

Agreed. Smith plays the 4 and has potential to be a solid big man for a long time. Maybe even elite.

Chet has enough potential to be a unicorn though, he looks long and frail but dude holds up in college. Add 40lbs-50lbs in 3-4 years and he will be the same weight as Gobert

Chet is insanely productive and has literally every tool you dream of in a big. He just needs to add weight. I would take the gamble with him, because he's the ideal fit with Zion.

A Zion and Chet frontcourt could theoretically be the best frontcourt ever.

Both guys are unicorns.

Ofcourse, I'd be thrilled with any of the top 4.

Ivey is still my guy, just because he's a perfect fit for us at guard.

Banchero is a beast and he's the least exciting of the top 4, imo. That speaks volumes about this class.

it’s debatable. The fact that Jabari refuses to dribble and looks like he hates every second he has to do it is a bit of a red flag. Not a dealbreaker but you can argue why it is close

we want the pels (and WAS/SAS/POR) to move down the list, and the lakers to move up the list

here's current 538 projection

What would you guys prefer?

Pels play well, make the play in but the Lakers finish 11th, or just outside of the odds we get their pick in the top 10

or

Pels still play well but just miss the play in but the Lakers finish with the 10th worse record

Its pretty hard.

Draft picks are overrated, but having two shots at the lottery is pretty intriguing to me, over none and just the play-in.

The second option gives a 40% chance of getting a top 4 pick, with a tiny chance of two top 4 picks. That’s a hard option to go against.

If Zion comes back and is awesome, then I wouldnt mind the 1st option. I think we’d be competetive in a series
