2nd in offense, 17th in defense.
Also, 7th best 3pt %, but last in attempts. I'm ok being a bit low in 3pt attempts if we can get the 2pt efficiency up, which it isn't as of now.
Also, 2nd in OReb %
ETA: Just noticed this was posted in the Lakers thread and thus about the Lakers.

Sorry if answered earlier in the thread, but if the Lakers trade the swap picks, how does that work? Do we get to swap with the team that receives them?

Im low key rooting for teams like Utah, Brooklyn, and Charlotte.
Those are the teams likely to trade for westbrook. Better they do the less likely that happens.
Im surprised they dont just send him home.

quote:As I understand it, say they traded with the Bulls, and Lakers finish with the 1st pick and Pels 30th. Pels get the 1st pick, Bulls get the 30th pick.

They can't trade the swap. Their 2027 1st is the earliest pick they can trade.

the Lakers owe its 2024 first to the Pelicans, but New Orleans has the right to delay that selection to 2025. Again, because it might go in either year, Los Angeles is Stepien restricted in 2023 and 2026.

The Lakers can't trade their pick, because we have their pick next season.
But we could trade our pick this season, with the swap rights. So, let's say that Jonas gets a season-ending injury (God forbid), and we decided to trade our pick to acquire a center. Myles Turner isn't worth this, but just pretend. Let's also assume we finish with a better record than the Lakers.
After acquiring our pick and the swap, the Pacers could swap our pick for the Lakers' pick, meaning that the Lakers would have our slot and the Pacers would get the Lakers pick.

They can trade the 2023 pick on draft night but not until after the selection is made.
Griff fricked them hard with how he structured the picks and swaps we got.
We got the current year pick, the 2022 pick, a 2023 swap, and a 2024 pick deferrable to 2025.
That meant they were allowed to trade 2020 ahead of time but we otherwise paralyzed their ability to trade picks for 2021 through 2026, helping ensure the picks we got were worth more.

quote:True but to clear it up for the poster who asked(and myself) it's not that they can't trade a swap, they can't trade this swap because you can't trade picks in back to back years and we have their 2024 pick.

But if they could trade a swap, it would go like I said...is that all basically correct?

Lakers guard Austin Reaves is expected to start in place of Russell Westbrook (out, hamstring) tonight vs. Nuggets, per sources, a lineup change L.A. could keep moving forward as team searches for rotations.

Can someone explain the reaves fascination for me?
I keep seeing Lakers rave over this guy and everytime i watch him he gives my Ryan Bowen vibes.

They're completely devoid of young talent.
They also like Wenyen Gabriel lol.
It's the same reason we all loved NAW a few years ago. The alternative was fricking Bledsoe.

Worst 9 records so far are the Kings, Magic, Lakers, Pistons, Heat, Pacers, Thunder, Rockets, Sixers.
I don’t see a lot of partners for them in there.
Pacers are still sellers but I don’t see a lot of other teams able to absorb Westbrook.
A few of those teams are contenders, several of them are young teams which don’t really have the salaries to send out, and the Kings are desperate to make the playoffs.
Based on that, they don’t seem to be gaining new sellers as much as teams may be willing to but Hield and Turner who weren’t thought to be in the market for them.

It's amazing that I've heard national sports talking heads discussing the Lakers trading top picks to a team willing to take Westbrook's contract.
They are paid handsomely to know this shite.
