I would’ve done that trade. We could use another wing and it couldn’t hurt to add Zion’s friend.

We have a dumbass for a GM that doesn't understand how basketball works.
He thinks you have to give away a first round pick to sign a free agent, and you have to give away a first to get rid of a player that the team you got rid of him to also was able to get rid of him without giving away a 1st so we can sign an aging vet that has zero desire and never expressed interest in coming here.

So we couldn't do that Reddish trade b/c we didn't have that lottery protected 1st to give out to get him. Unless you want to trade the 24/25 Lakers pick, or the Bucks 25 1st.

Apparently they have been searching for a mid-1st for weeks with very little in the way of takers.

So apparently the league doesn't value him too highly.

Have you seen any ATL games this year? He has not been a winning player and the Hawks are 14 points per/100 better when he’s off the floor. He BBIQ is really worrisome. If the Hawks we’re going to trade him they should have pulled that trigger during their offseason when people were fawning over him because he hit some jumpers during their playoff run. Idk why the Hawks wouldn’t just keep him if that’s all they could get.

With that said, I still would’ve taken a flier on Reddish if I’m the Pels. But I think this trade says a lot about how the league sees him and is kind of a big red flag that the Hawks are cutting bait

No one wanted to trade for Reddish because he is not good enough to warrant the monster contract he is about to demand.

Denver's Bol Bol trade with Detroit has been voided, sources tell ESPN. The Pistons didn't pass Bol on his physical with team.

Someone has to go though, they got Huerter, Bog, and Hunter.

Hunter has had injury issues, but he single-handedly raises that team defense and has been a more consistent scorer.

It's the sort of excess riches I wish the Pels had.

Funny thing is...if I remember correctly, the eventual Reddish draft pick the Hawks got was the "justification" the Hawks used...to give Doncic to the Mavs...for Young. Amazingly bad move by the Hawks.

I think this will cause the Knicks to look at moving Fournier a little more aggressively maybe. They will have a logjam of wings, and Burks has been better for them too.

I’m still not sure I would do it if I’m the Pels, but if NAW isn’t going to be a scoring answer in the near future…then Fournier would be cheaper than Hield or McCollum for the next couple years. Last year of contract is a Team Option…..

Would the Knicks really burn 2 1sts like that, one to bring Reddish in and 1 to send Fournier out? That seems like a lot of assets without much return.

Kinda wild that at this point we should have just paid Lonzo.

Lonzo at 20mil and not giving up assets >>> Buddy/McCollum/Fournier for over 20 mil and assets to get here

I dont. I was so glad we didnt draft him. No way i'd give up a decent 1st for him. That being said, the absolute last place I would have wanted him to go to is the Knicks. Ugh.

Shamit is talking a lot about Norm Powell as a possibility.

On paper you are correct, but I think it’s going to become clearer in the future that Lonzo just wanted out and Griffin didn’t want to piss of Klutch by matching. Still a complete failure and a bad read of the FA tea leaves on Griffin’s part for sure though, just not quite as black and white as matching/not matching.

He's not the disaster I thought he'd be. He is a potential defensive monster and is improving on offense.

Worth a protected 1st? Sure, especially if he'll make Zion happy.

Reddish also could fit with Jones/Ingram in a post-Zion world. Reddish and Herbert could be monsters on the wing defensively.

Yes yes and more yes please!

I wonder what that would cost. I’d give up a protected first and or seconds or combos of our young guys not named Herb. Could maybe even flirt with giving up Hart, but having Norm and Hart out there together would be fun to watch.

Probably Gary Trent Jr, straight up.

With Powell’s new contract, that’s an overpay. I think we’d offer to let them dump him into out TPE for free.
