Really? Seems like he'd be one of those players that'd stay there. I guess they need to start moving younger soon though

quote:

PG- Burke/Vasquez/Roberts
SG- Gordon/Rivers
SF- Webster/Wright(?) or Wilson Chandler/Miller
PF- Davis/Anderson/Smiht
C- Pekovic/Lopez/Smiht

i hardly agree with any trades/line-ups on HT but this i can dig

gotta disagree!

you would apply this mostly to a team full of veterans.

what about a team with outstanding scouting and management?

Ainge is haunted by the mistakes of the past and has said they held onto his Bird era Celtic pieces too long and got nothing in return to help rebuild. He is hell bent on getting something out Pierce and Garnett.

They have a decent young core in Rondo, Green, and Bass.

They just need to get something for Pierce and Garnett or get them out of town via buyout, trade, or retirement, to clear cap space for wheeling and dealing.

How do you get Chandler with that line up? Chandler is not a FA.

Webster, Wright, and Pekovic are FAs. Burke would obviously be the draft pick.

Healthy that line up should make the playoffs.

It's funny that some people either can't tell two people apart or just always want to talk about me.

It's also funny how some people who jump on misses never send out a "good job" for a hit. Or multiple hits without a miss.

Just observations.

I think some trade rumors are real talks that don't close. At this point, nothing can close anyway, so, to me, it is kind of pointless on all sides to discuss ... initiate and retort.

I am not going to list his. He has some.

And who is to say I was talking about him? It's just a recent example in a pattern of some posters.

I see people knocking major writers and more.

Coon did an analysis and showed that even the best are wrong more often than right. I'll find it later.

Isn't Rondo consistently on the trading block?

I still say we sign Webster and Pekovic in FA, use our draft pick on Burk or Saric and move on to next season. IMHO

I read that it appears McNamara is doing his usual crawfishing by saying that the talks are "internal" within the Celtics organization. Nice try to cover you butt. I would LOVE to hear about his hits. I can recall dozens upon dozens when he was CP3 and 11 others that were misses. Off hand, I cannot recall any hits (unless you count those that he adjusts after facts come out).

That seems to fall in line with what he said.

Just heard strange rumor from EC source: Celtics talking about possibility of Pierce and Bradley for Eric Gordon.

Regarding trade rumors I think QPon for Vasquez is the only one, but that doesn't mean 1) he doesn't actually know someone in an NBA front office and 2) that he shouldn't pass on rumors he hears. As much as people hate rumors, they help pass the time during the offseason.

Cheap 3 and D. I don't think it's deep love as much as realistic and attainable plug for a gaping hole.

Plus he's an efficient shooter coming off of a good year. The fact that he'll come relatively cheap for his production is a major plus.

He's one of Monty's guys from Portland. He can hit three-pointers, can play both the 2 and the 3, can play defense, and can rebound though not as well as Aminu.

He's not a superstar by any means, but he's the kind of guy who would sign with us and immediately be an improvement over Aminu, as well as being somewhat affordable.

Hell, his ability to shoot helps take pressure off Vasquez, Davis, Lopez, and Anderson, as the defense will have to protect them, unlike Aminu.
