Sorry to hear this. Hope he made peace with God before he died. Rube was badder than Shaft, Superfly, James Bond, and Kung Fu all put together.
Grew up on their music. Saw 'em at the Centroplex circa 1980. Rube played some funky stuff on drums.

Saw ZZ Top open for Lynyrd Skynryd in the late 90s. I went being Luke warm on ZZ Top. I left loving them and was so disappointed by Skynryd I won’t even listen to their music anymore.
