ZZ Top - and then there was 1 ... RIP: Frank Beard

Frank Beard passed away at 77 yrs old from his recent illness. He joins the late Dusty Hill in Heaven. The lone survivor is Billy Gibbons. A common theme amongst bands we all listened to that originated in the 60's & 70's. Getting old and losing our heroes sucks.
I truly believe Keith Richards is going to outlive Moses.

Must be why they cancelled their show at the Hollywood Bowl a couple of weeks ago.

RIP to Pecan Grove’s finest.
I live right next to Top 40 Ranch. I’ll have to drive by later and pay my respects.

I’m thankful I got to see ZZ Top a couple of years ago. Dusty had unfortunately passed by that point, but Billy and Frank were still 2/3 of the original band performing. Amazing show. Billy’s the last man standing now. RIP Frank!

I wouldn't doubt it.
They had a few photos and videos playing during the newscast where they cancelled their show.
Don't know how old they were but he didn't look well.

Damn that sucks. I was lucky enough to see them three times over the years and all three were with the original guys. A really good band

The one member of the band with no beard had the last name "Beard".

Love ZZ, but I never thought he was a very good drummer.
RIP regardless

Probability one of the best shuffle drummers, he mostly stayed in the pocket and played precise fills. Not big on soloing but was excellent for a power trio that relied on Billy Gibbons playing. Exhibit A
