Ozzy Osbourne with Brad Gillis at the Oakland Arena - June 19, 1982

I saw Ozzy in Atlanta in 85 or 86 I believe. I hated the show. It was the loudest, most distorted sound I have ever heard. I liked him but his show was hard to handle. I could barely figure out what song he was performing.

And no I was not fricked up. Not at the beginning anyway

Was my most disappointed concert experience.

We must be around the same age.

Started it off

Followed by Charlie Daniels and Lynyrd Skynyrd at Coleman in Tuscaloosa

And then Bob Segar, Kansas, Kiss at Rickwood Field

(all in the mid 70's)

i was fairly young back then, 13 for frampton. a lot of years have passed. what i remember most is being SO high up in the seating that i could barely see anything.

stones 78 was a nightmare. record breaking crowd. again, couldn't see shite.

Debbie Gibson - September 2 1988 Audubon Zoo

Club MTV - Some time in 1989. I think it was in the Superdome?

Can't really remember the third one. As a teen, I was going to a lot of metal concerts in small local venues (like the old Zepplin's in Fat City), and they all just kind of mesh together in my brain.

My first two concerts were Alabama and the Beach Boys in the late 80s. Both played Atlanta Fulton County Stadium after Braves games. The game ended, and they pulled a stage out into the infield. I think it was a way to sell tickets when the Braves were sucking.

I think my third was Hank Jr, Doug Stone, and the Kentucky Headhunters on the Pure Hank tour in 1991 or 1992.

Walks through cloud of mid 70's smoke to post that I think the first three were at the Warehouse in NOLA and they were...

1974 Apr 12 ZZ Top \ Jay Boy Adams
1975 Jan 7 Alvin Lee \ (Jo Jo Gunne) \ Eric Burdon
1975 May 21 Robin Trower \ Golden Earring

ETA saw a bunch of concerts at the Municipal Auditorium and festivals at City Park stadium in that era but the dates are “blurry”

Nazareth/ Rush Rhein-Neckar-Halle Heidelberg, West Germany May 11, 1983.
Ted Nugent/Judas Priest Rhein-Neckar-Halle Heidelberg, West Germany February 20, 1984
Iron Maiden/Motley Crue Rhein-Neckar-Halle Heidelberg, West Germany October 17, 1984...although i could have sworn Maiden was the opener. I was most certainly there for Maiden. Piece Of Mind just out but Number Of The Beast was just so big in Europe I can't imagine Crue being the opener but that is what the internet says.

My Dad played small, local gigs back in the 70s but I don't know if that counts.

Montrose/Van Halen/Journey Houston Music Hall '78- My parents didn't know I went to Houston for this. They thought I spent the night at my friends house. Journey was the headliner but I went to see Montrose.

Bob Seger w/ Eddie Money Opening - Houston Summit '82 or '83
Charlie Daniels Band at Astroworld '82-3
