That shouldn't be played on true country radio.

Zac brown is the only new artist I can stand. The rest I just listen to old shite. There should be an oldie country station, I think that'd be a hit

Garth Brooks cut country music's throat. I like him but he blurred the line.
garth will probably go down as the scapegoat, but it was happening LONG before his first album was pressed

This.

Guys like George Strait, Clint Black, Keith Whitley were keeping country going good after the Waylon, Merle, Willie, and Cash days. Then artists like Garth, Lonestar, Rascal Flatts, Shania came in and fricked it all up.

You can probably even point the finger towards the Urban Cowboy days.

This is true.

Folks have posted about Garth Brooks. He was really good when he started out...Heck, he was a hit when he came to the Whispering Pines in Ringgold back in the late 80s. After his first couple of albums, he started going down. He still had some good stuff here and there, but left the roots and went commercial.

I actually have a friend who is working for FGL now...he used to work for Reckless Kelly and quit because he was tired of being on the road, realized he missed it and started stage managing for festivals and stuff. He got a new job pretty soon thereafter but wouldn't tell anyone who he was with because he knew we would bust his balls for eternity. We later found out he is with FGL.

You've used this story already. Nobody is impressed with who you "know".

Nah. You're the one who has a constant need to be "right" on an anonymous message board. I have real friends and a real life. Lots of these friends are in the music biz, and this is the MUSIC BOARD, after all. Suck it, douchebag.

So calling you out on your ridiculous level of hypocrisy and douchebaggery is "hanging on to Thursday".

I guess I'll be hanging on to Thursday for awhile then

I need to be right yet all you and your little friends here do is bitch and moan the second somebody doesn't like what y'all like

I have plenty of friends in the business as well but I don't go around saying, "look at me! Look who I know, guys!"

You clearly are mad because I told you that you already used that little story before.

Also, I have a life but thanks for the concern

And no, I will not frick myself nor will I suck it, pal.

You probably will because you have nothing better to do and can't handle the fact that somebody here actually knows more about something that you do. You can't get over it. I guess this makes you my bitch.

My bro plays for Scale the Summit
nb4who?

I've honestly lost track of music about the last 4-5 years. I would like to find good country/blues type music that isn't mainstream.
