Not true. Some of the best lyricists are writing now, they are just not the ones being played on the radio.

**The exceptions to this are Will Hoge and Sean McConnell...two of the most incredible writers and performers I've ever seen...they have had Nashville "heavy-hitters" record their songs, but the original versions are MUCH better.

I'm strictly mainstream country that you hear on the radio.

country music

I think you have to include the difference of pop country and real country. Real country still exists, it's just not being played on the mainstream radio stations because it's not marketed to 14 year olds.

Mainstream country is fox news set to music. It's success is tied to an agreeable political stance and lifestyle rather than quality of the product.

I'm not sure Garth killed country for me, but that's about when I stopped listening. I really liked his first two albums FWIW.

Keep this shite in the other thread. My thread is for making fun of Nashville pop, not for y'all to make fun of each other. Dont muck up this one like you did the last.

I dont come in yours saying the same stupid shite I've been repeating for 6 pages in another thread. There's the difference. That wasn't directed at only you anyway but you sure are sensitive. Take a Xanax, bro.

That's "ho" to you.

And it's not directed at me, nor would I care if it were, but if anyone wants to see you repeat yourself, they can do so in the other thread. That's my point. Y'all all need to quit beating a dead horse and focus on the one thing we can all agree on: that FGL sucks.

Garth Brooks cut country music's throat. I like him but he blurred the line.

3 things that have ruined country music

1. No longer has a steel guitar twang sound.

2. Lyrics are generic. No meaning, no story telling, no soul at all. Basically no culture or creativity.

3. Too much drums.
