Why can't David and Roger settle things and get back to making music?

They sound like a couple of teenage girls squabbling.

C'mon man. Time is running out.

Roger is an angry bitter old man. I don't blame David for not wanting to work with him.

Even if they were best friends, they are about 75 years old. I’m not sure it’s gonna live up to what they put out 50 years ago.

Its not David. It is Roger. He is a little bitch. His little crying video this week makes him look more like a bitch. And this from one of the biggest Pink Floyd fans ever.

David has moved on. Wants nothing to do with Roger and has not for a long time. Those wounds are deep and are not going to heal. Roger is no longer a active member of Pink Floyd and has not since he quit on them and treated the other members like trash.

We all have to live with the decisions we make and this is on him. Not on David or Nick. It is his alone to live up to. He needs to just leave it alone, he tainted his career with his ego and his "over the top" political views and constant bull shite is making it worse. He never learned anything from the mistakes he made

Im glad Gilmour has moved on and has nothing to do with him. Roger trying to talk shite on Polly is not a good way to get back in the group either.

David doesn't need Roger... but in the last 20 years Roger's grossed nearly $900 million in ticket sales, so he probably doesn't need David that much

That is true. But that money was made with material that was from his Pink FLoyd days. Roger has not really done anything new that really mattered since he left the band.

On the other hand, Daivd and the rest of the band made some great material without Roger and David Gilmour gave us some great solo material as well.

Roger on the other hand had just rode for years on The Wall and things that he and the others did "back in the day"

IMO Waters last solo album is better than any of Gilmour's solo albums. I just don't find Gilmour's song writing to be that interesting. He's an incredible guitar player and has a great voice, but nothing PF did after Roger left was interesting to me. There were maybe a few songs that were ok but I just can't get into that stuff at all.

I think the ship has sailed for any sort of real reunion. We were fortunate enough to see them all back together for a short set at Live 8. That was really cool and I had a faint hope that it would lead to them truly making amends and getting back together. That was like 15 years ago and their relationship is in a worse spot now than it was then.

Waters is still butthurt that Gilmour wanted to take the band back out on the road in the early 90's. there was a nasty lawsuit which Waters lost and he still hasn't got over it

That is something that we will just probably disagree on. Division Bell was legit to me. The entire album and Gilmours "On a Island" is excellent. I guess its a matter of what turned your knobs with Pink FLoyd the most. The song writing or the music.
