Mother, also from The Wall.

Echoes from Meddle

Time from DSOM

Us and Them from DSOM

I agree with Shine On, as well.

Fat Old Sun- Live at Gdansk. Be patient and you will be rewarded at end. Gilmour’s lead is stunning, trust me.

For the ones of you who said or like Pigs, you really need to listen to the live version played By Brit Floyd. It is outstanding. Ive seen them about 5 times and will be seeing them twice this summer.... Flying all the way to Red Rocks to see them in June.

Damien's solo at the end is the truth..... The tuning is amazing. Solo starts at 9:40 but listen the the whole thing.

Listen and enjoy

Not the biggest Floyd “scholar” here. What else should I listen to for an awesome solo?

-solo at the end of Fat Old Sun is great
-Wots..uh, the deal has a beautiful slide guitar solo at the end, really wonderful piece of music. Considered having it played at my funeral
-young lust has a great one
-as mentioned money and time both have some awesome shredding solos

Everything has been mentioned, included High Hopes from the division bell, but I will add Coming Back to life. Find a version where David Gilmore plays this live. It’s awesome!!

One of the most overrated bands ever. I think most people think that but are scared to say incase their credibility is questioned.

So, you're belief is that all people should have the same taste in music?

PF is without a doubt one of the better technical and artistic groups ever, and have been highly influential to many others over the years. That alone puts them in elite class.

If you don't "get" PF, you're missing out.

IF they're overrated (and I'm not saying they are), it is because of Roger's technical skills at singing and playing bass. However, the Floyd wouldn't have been the monster they were without Roger's songs. But - particularly Gilmour and Wright - were some of the best players in progressive/classic rock. And they were strong contributers on the music side (writing pieces and arrangement) as well.

But not many folks have 2 records that were in essentially every rock fan's collection of the 1970s (DSOTM and The Wall), and 2 others that were in a solid majority (WYWH and Animals) of those same collections. Now, commercial success isn't everything, of course, but when you also consider their influence on progressive, art and even some hard rock acts that followed - at some point their being "overrated" is just, like, your opinion man.

And one not as widely shared as you suspect, either.
