Sorry you live with weird catches and caveats with regard to enjoying music and art. I'll be over here enjoying catchy melodies, great instrumentation and spectacular vocal harmonies (Sambora one of the all-time greats in this regard).

Of all the hair/pop/glam metal bands, Bon Jovi has been the worst at standing up to the test of time.

Preposterous. They are one of the several A-list from the genre. Bad at standing the test of time? The current generation LOVES belting out Livin on a Prayer.

I’ll say Wanted Dead or Alive for Ritchie Sambora’s background vocals alone. It ain’t shite without that.

That’s a huge exaggeration in every way.

Who stands above Bon Jovi in the hair metal pantheon?

If you pay attention to Desmond Child songs, one of his secrets is juxtaposing good and bad together.

The first concert I ever went to in 6th grade in Fayetteville NC was Bon Jovi opening for Ratt. Runaway is my favorite song of theirs. But blaze of glory and wanted dead or alive are good too.

Not afraid to admit I am a sucker for sappy ballads. Bon Jovi was part of youth and formative years, and Ritchie Sambora is a great guitarist in my opinion.

I like Wanted Dead or Alive.

Meaning I won’t change the station or run out of the room when I hear it, but I don’t exactly go out of my way to listen to it.

I never liked Bon Jovi at all and never understood the appeal.

Although I liked a lot of it when I was a kid, Hair Metal as a genre has not stood the test of time.

Bon Jovi has some fun party songs, but none of it is good music.

Possible exception is Runway, which is a decent song.
