I know this is subjective but I’ll go with

1. Elvis
2. Paul McCartney (solo)
3. Robert Plant (pending. I have tickets to an Alison Krauss/Plant concert in April)
4. Rolling Stones in the 1980s (so Jagger, Richards, Watts, Wood, Wyman)

I’m not sure anybody else I’ve seen belongs in the legend category. I’ve seen Queen without Freddie but I’m not so sure Brian May and Roger Taylor qualify. Same with Alice Cooper and certainly not KISS. Borderline is Elton John and Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac. The rest of the bands/individuals aren't legends IMO.

Very much so. I'll just try to remember them all

These are folks some may or may not consider legends. I did enjoy them all, though

I'd put these in the legendary column personally:

Doobie Brothers
Dire Straits
Foreigner
ZZ Top
Pink Floyd (Division Bell so no Roger Waters)
Rush
Bad Company
Rolling Stones (late 80s)
Plant & Page

These are borderline but at least really good to me:

Pearl Jam
Def Leppard
Metallica
Guns n Roses
Soundgarden
Billy Joel

Enjoyable concerts, very good bands, some were opening acts, probably not the longevity/output to approach legendary (again subjective):

Alanis Morissette
Candle Box
Damn Yankees
Black Crows
Gov't Mule
Bush

Not Rock but legendary, I saw BB King and Bobby "Blue" Bland at the LSU Assembly Center (now the PMac) back in 1981. All reserved seating and ticket sales opened to students the Sunday afternoon before it opened to the general public. We had 2nd-row center seats. It was awesome and one of the two best experiences I have ever had at a concert. Dire Straits was the other, also an LSU show but this one was in the LSU Student Union Theater. Touring campuses and such for their third album "Making Movies" Again really good seats (there is no bad seat in that sort of venue) 6th row.

Sorry went off topic

Clapton, Van Halen, Dylan, Priest, Queen. I've seen some others as well, but those would fall under who I would call legends.

Those aren't borderline. Especially metallica..been the biggest metal band in arguably the world for the past 4+ decades

I actually agree but was thinking those might be more personal choices for me. If you are my age (61) you also see Billy Joel as legendary. Continually changing his style. I didn't love all his albums but I generally liked every album and some were spectacular. Songs like Piano man and Captain Jack from his early stuff touch something inside me that causes me to reminisce.
