i just respect the art . When you see someone who can play or sing a song and it comes from deep within . It’s very cool to say the least

Scott Weiland. STP was my favorite band. I regret never seeing them in person.

I’d also liked to see what SRV would be doing .
I was just thinking about this the other day.

Agreed, he was so young and still developing. There’s no telling what more he would have done. Those are the losses that are tough.
I’m a huge Grateful Dead and obviously Jerry’s death was tragic and it would be great if he was still around. But odds are, he wasn’t composing another Terrapin Station in his later years.

Of guys in history cut way too short, I would say Sam Cooke.
In my lifetime, either SRV or Cobain.

I wish Otis Redding, Buddy Holly and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Richie Valens would have lived longer.

Hendrix would be 76
Petty would be 68
Etc.
Chester would be 42
Cornell would be 54
Staley would be 52
Still had too much time left at a high level.
ETA: I don't think people above the age of around 35 or so will realize just how important Chester was to a lot of people 35 and under. For the abused, he was someone that had been through the shite just like them. Yet he showed them a level of love and tenderness in his charitable ventures, his effort at concerts, his interactions, his lyrics later in life etc. They looked up to him as a light in their life, so it was a devastating loss for so many LP fans around the world.
