Southern Harmony and Musical Companion is still my favorite to this day. I now enjoy great nasty slide guitar and blues music more. Gary Clark Jr was also very good at Jazzfest

Kiss Alive II started it for me.
The gatefold blew me away as a kid. Gene all bloody on the back was awesome too. I listened to a lot of Kiss, Rush, Boston, and Ted Nugent. Rock music...
Then I bought the first three Iron Maiden albums because the artwork was, is badass. When I started to listen to them, I was blown away.
I never looked back. Metalhead for a long time. I still listen to metal today.

The Beatles - Abbey Road
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
Neil Young - Harvest Moon
My life’s music tree generally has roots in these three albums.

Run-D.M.C.(self titled) opened up rap/hip hop.
Pink Floyd The Wall opened up progressive stoner rock
Radiohead OK Computer got me back into music
Modest Mouse The Moon and Antarctica got me back into indie

I like all kinds, but Nirvana’s Nevermind got me into rock music. MC Hammer got me into 90’s rap.

Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Live at Fillmore East( ABB), Little Feat: “Columbus” or “Dont Fail Me Now”.
Sgt Pepper, Revolver, Faces with Rod Stewart.
They all influenced me.
And, surprisingly, the first Yes Album.
Along the way, Surrealistic Pillow( Jeff Airplane) and Moby Grape!

It wasn't an album; it was the first time I heard Robert Johnson

It is hard to pick one. When I was very young my older siblings (10 & 8 years older) impacted me as well as my dad with a few albums or tapes.
From my dad (I do not recall the albums) Otis Redding, a Greatest hist album from Charley Pride
From my 8 year older brother, he had several greatest hits 8-tracks in the early 70s
Creedence Gold
The Grass Roots
Three Dog Night
The Guess Who
He also had Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
From my 10 year older sister most of this is the late 60s - Diana Ross and the Supremes - She had a lot of 45s but I do recall she had the album Reflections. She also had a lot of Beatles singles. I think she had Meet the Beatles and Hard Days night.
All of that pretty much set me up for eclectic musical tastes.
Albums that impacted me along the way were
Led Zepplin's 4th Album I'm still not sure if it has a title (Came out when I was in Elementary school but I got this when I was in Junior High)
Dire Straits self-titled debut album (Junior year of High School)
Pink Floyd - The Wall came out in my senior year of High School and completely blew my mind at that time.
There are others as time went on but the main impacts were already set by then, part of which included the seed of not discounting any music because of genre though I did cling to hard rock/heavy metal for some time and still sort of gravitate that way.

We're about the same age, and that Dire Straits album is a major touchstone for me.
Also country music and 50s stuff from my parents, Bob Dylan from my friend Don(RIP, brother), the Clash, the Jam, (Thanks,Steve), and a lot of stuff i discovered in college radio in the early 80s (91.7, KNWD, the voice of the Demons).
