Compared to geriatric Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews?

Goose is the best of that lineup, and is much better than any act you have mentioned in this thread

I think Pearl Jam's last album shows they still have some life so i would like to see them, but the only day i would consider would be Thursday, May 1.

In the sense of being the smartest retard, sure

No little jam band is better than Ice Nine or Halestorm.

I mean. . .

Not saying you don't like them more, musical tastes are subjective.

There are still people that like Ween and Phish, too. Free form jazz, house, and Glam Rock still has staunch adherents. . a few of which are even straight.

people buy those out of habit, I think.

The last time I heard anyone ask "have you heard that new Pearl Jam song?", I am pretty sure The Twin Towers were still standing

Goose is
But “musical taste” and all…..
Considering the setting, Goose makes a hell of a lot more sense than Ice Nine Kills.

Dirt rockers aren’t eagerly awaiting the Jazzfest lineup, and then complaining when their faves aren’t announced.

Well, most aren’t anyway

None of those are my favorites, they are bands that are attainable and digestable to the radio crowd.

2025 and Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam are your headliners?

The jazz fest headliners of virtually every year of my adolescence were old bands that all the 45-65 year-olds were amped to see. I remember seeing Crosby, stills, and Nash with my parents. They seemed ancient then.

DMB and Pearl Jam are still huge, regardless of relevance, and they will absolutely have many 45-65 year-olds amped to go.

It should be a requirement that when people bitch about jazz fest that they name who they think should be playing instead.

Not "instead", but damn it one of these days Quint Davis needs to get Cake to play Jazzfest.

And it will be awesome.

Not many acts that are at all relevant in the music industry

You’ve said some stupid shite on these boards over the years, but this statement here is at your tops tied with “She Hulk is like so awesome.” Just because you don’t like certain bands does not mean they aren’t relevant. What a dumb, narcissistic statement.

The Dave Matthews Band is Dave Matthews. How can they break up? It's a revolving group of musicians and Dave.

Next you will tell me Santana or Eric Clapton broke up.

Don't sleep on Robert Jon and the Wreck in the blues tent this year. Walter Trout as well.

Not if you're gonna name shite like this

Halestorm, Paramore, Linkin Park, Papa Roach,

Ice Nine Kills, Memphis May Fire, Asking Alexandria, Catch Your Breath, Nothing More

Regardless if that was the intention when the band formed, that is what it has evolved into.

If everyone left except Dave, then there could still be a Dave Matthews Band. If Dave left, there could be no DMB.

Just like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers would've still been a band without Mike Campbel, but not without Tom.
