The EDM version of this list is very different.

Didn't see it on the list and I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not a fan of people singing along at shows.

shite, bands usually encourage this by pointing the mic at the crowd.

The act preaching politics or whatever charity of the week they are backing is annoying. We don't care. Shut up and sing.
The act asking the audience to song the chorus. We paid to hear YOU.
Audience singing along too damn much. I don't wanna hear the idiots next to me.
Audience talking. Hate that.
Smokers and tokers. Drunks.

Bring a growler tonight... I kegged a honey brown IPA a few days ago that we're going to try the hop randall out on tonight.
Saw jeff tweedy at hob a couple years ago. Crowd was talking too much. Dude unplugged, went to the corner of the stage with no mics and sang a couple of songs. Crowd got really quiet. Was very cool.

It really does depend on the show and the venue. Most of the time it's fine but if it's something softer and I can't hear the singer, then that person should be set ablaze.

You sound like a delightful person to attend a show with.
I'm almost always willing to forgive sins of engagement. If people are dancing, singing, or doing air guitar... they are engaged with the music and having fun. It's hard to be upset about that, unless you are an arms-crossed humorless scold. The problem with talkers and cell phone abusers -- they are NOT engaged. Get out if you don't want to be there.

this is a good assessment, although im all about getting video on my phone at shows. ive been to probably over 500 shows in my life and i wish i could remember some of them. cell phone videos do just that for me. helps jog the old memory of what a great night it was.

Agreed a couple pictures or a video isn't bad but the whole set?
Come on bro!

Yeah, I think no one will ever get mad at someone for a short video or a few photos. It's the incessant photos or videoing the whole set. That's obnoxious.

How is forming a mosh pit not number 1? I hate that shite. I get to a show ahead of time to see Rise Against at the House of Blues, and a bunch of a-hole teenagers just start running around and pushing and punching everyone else out of the prime area so they can beat up on each other for no reason. frick mosh pits! I want to bang my head without having to punch some tweaking teen every 20 seconds.
