I am a huge fan of X but that new album is nothing special. On the other hand, The Pretenders just put out a new album that is really good. Haim no. 1? Please.

Spin Magazine went from the best music mag to complete and utter crap almost overnight back in the early 2000s. I wouldn't trust them with a list of Top 10 reasons not to eat a live hand grenade.

Rival Sons
Royal Blood
The Amazons
Dirty Honey
Kaleo
Cleopatrick
Radio Moscow

If none of them are on the list, it isn’t credible one bit

Both awesome live. Saw a tiny Asian girl get swallowed up by a mosh pit because she wasn't paying attention at Cleopatrick

Tame impala

I'm not clicking that link but if they seriously left off the best current (popular) rock act they really are stupid.

I bet if this author knew Rhianna straight up covered one of his songs note for note, Tame would be top 5.

That's what I thought. I somehow missed them on this list when I made my Pearl Jam comment about "old bands".

X was produced by Ray Manzarek of The Doors. I liked them back in the day.
