This is probably a little outside the scope of the question than the OP intended, BUT if you took the entire population of the United States of America and could (hypothetically) play every piece of music ever composed to each person and they had to associate it within a few seconds, I bet the Main Title to Jaws would be on up there in terms of recognition.

Quite a few people would hear the initial "dun dun" and say, "That's from Jaws."
