Chad is an awesome drummer and these guys are pros.

rarely are song written drums up, so they’re always sorta doing what they think the drums should sound like to a song.

BTW here is a great drum cover of Critical Acclaim by Avenged Sevenfold.

LINK

The drumming is OK but the rest is spectacular

He’s such a solid drummer! Love his style. There’s another one of him doing several of his songs that is pretty cool. Like he breaks it down for you. I’ll post the link when I stop driving.

30STM first ever sold out show was at the Varsity.

I was there. Wasn't that like early 2000's, I wanna say like 04 or 05?

Especially considering that once he knew who it was, he knew that Shannon Leto was the drummer and Jared Leto was the singer.

That's a pretty fun idea for a channel. The mind of an elite musician is incredible.

There is one with some classic jazz drummer or something and he did it for Enter Sandman, which he claimed he never heard.

Larnell Lewis.

He played on a Snarky Puppy album, which is recorded live over 3 or 4 sessions, and learned the entire album on a plane ride to the Netherlands from NY and absolutely kills. He's really, really good.

He was only out of the pocket for a millisecond when the tempo changed... I like to just believe the video and think he could anticipate where it was going. Videos like that are a bit like magic if you try to tear them apart you destroy that fun kid feeling you had of just being in awe.

Regarding El Estepario Siberiano while he has only done a few I like his it takes X brains to play this videos. When it is broken down I honestly don't know how it doesn't take multiple brains to actually play.

He didn’t even listen to the entire first pass before jumping straight into it and nailing it really close. Dude just seems like fun to be around.

That was pretty good. You can tell he doesn't like Flee.

Drumeo is awesome. An old buddy of mine Aaron Spears has been on that channel multiple times. He's an absolute stud of a drummer.

There’s a similar video from the Megadeath drummer hearing Mr. Brightside for the first time

I like these videos but it’s insane that some of these guys haven’t heard these songs before.

He goes, "Oh, Jared's band." He says it like it's some cover band that his friend fools around with from time to time. He's on a first name basis with the guy. It would seem he should have known this was a huge hit in rock.

Mine too... another drummer from what I would characterize as "other worldly" in their skills is Robert "Sput" Searight..

His music is not going to be everyone's cup of tea but amazing chops..

To get a good idea of Larnell Lewis's skills as a drummer look up the Youtube videos of Snarky Puppy's live sessions of "We Like it Here"..

What's weird is he claims that he never heard it but then when they say 30 seconds to mars he's like "oh that's Jared's band."

My favorite comment under the Enter Sandman one is "It's amazing Larnell has more of a grasp on how to play the song after one listen than Lars does after 30 years of playing it".

The internet loves to shite on Lars.
