Disturbed, while many look at them as douche-rock have some nice albums. Awaken, Stricken, Numb, Want, Deify, they have some great music. They're awesome live too.

If you listened to alt radio, you would know that it gets so much worse than Coldplay. I’m not a fan of Coldplay by any stretch of the imagination, but some of the crap getting traction in the US out of Britain today makes Coldplay sound like Mozart.

The Replacements were the most overrated alterntive band ever.
Billy Corgan makes Bob Dylan sound like Pavarotti.
The last groundbreaking album that has been made was Ten by Pearl Jam.
Jeff Beck is the best guitarist to ever walk the earth.
Losing My Religion was the worst thing to ever happen to R.E.M.
Bruce Springsteen's politics suck. His songs between 1973 and 1984 do not. The later stuff, yeah for the most part less than average.
I've never understood the appeal of Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen.
Not only were the Stones better than the Beatles I would rather listen to ELO than the Beatles.
Before Revolver the Beatles were the 60s equilvalent of a boy band (I Wanna Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, Love Me Do, I Saw Her Standing There, etc.)
Over the last 35 to 40 years Van Morrison has put out a lot of God awful cocktail lounge music. (And he is still my all time favorite artist. His good stuff is that good.)
