Agreed and so does Tear for Fears...saw them in concert and before they sand the song, they said and I am paraphrasing...we wrote this song and loved it, but Gary Jules perfected it...hope you humor us and enjoy our version

And I know it might be sacrilege, but I like the Sonic Youth version of Superstar more than the Carpenters version

Cash’s version of Hurt is terrible. I guess because he was a dying old man people overrate the song. It’s truly awful.

Well, I think it's really good and knowing the back story to Johnny Cash, I think it really hits home.

It's not a good song. It may have a good story but it's not a good song. People haven't been able to differentiate the two.

Elvis Costello - "How Much I Lied"

Yes, I prefer this to the original by Gram Parsons

And EC's cover of "Withered and Died" is superior to Richard Thompson's

Shinedown's Simple Man version is better than Lynyrd Skynyrd's. Fight me.

Any Bob Dylan song.

Any Kris Kristofferson song

Any Townes Van Zandt song

None of those MFers can/could sing worth a lick.
