I like 'em both, but Sebadoh is great too...
That's why I think Dino was at it's best with Lou in the band... after he left, it was basically a solo project for J

One of my favorite Alt-Rock bands from back in the college days. Kevn Kinney's solo album Broken Hearts and Auto Parts is FANTASTIC.
Drivin n Cryin are actually touring right now. I missed them when they came through Houston dammit.
ETA, they'll be in Houston May 3rd. I'll be there

Yeah, they're still putting out music, but I admit I haven't bought anything since "Smoke".

That was THE band to listen to at LSU, 88-92... and probably most of the other SEC schools

3 vastly different bands in my opinion. Pixies ultimately were probably the most influential, but Jane's Addiction was a phenomena. Saw them in concert before they were really popular and before alt rock was all the rage with everyone. Best experience at a show in my life - mosh pit but no major league assholes trying to hurt anyone - awesome.
