People who don't recognize or are unfamiliar with "famous" bands...

I was watching the episode of Louie where he goes to Afghanistan to perform as part of a USO Tour. While there, he tries hitting on this young cheerleader by asking her if she likes music.
There exchange is summarized by the following:
Louie: Do you like Led Zeppelin?
Cheerleader: (Looks inquisitively) Led Zeppelin...no.
Louie: Do you like Van Halen?
Cheerleader: I'm not really sure I know who that is.
Louie: Do you like Aerosmith?
Cheerleader: Uhhh...no, sorry.
Louie: Do you know who Steven Tyler is?
Cheerleader: Oh the judge from American Idol?! Yeah, I know who Steven Tyler is.
Louie: He was the singer for Aerosmith...
What are some similar interactions you have had with people which involved complete musical ignorance?

People that don't instantly recognize key historical Phish jams like Went Gin, Island Tour Twist, or NYE '95 Weekapaug are immediately viewed as lowest common denominator and not worthy of my time or attention

I went on a Tinder date with this chick who had no idea who any of the hip French speaking Canadian Indie bands I listen to were. I mean, fricking c'mon!
I promptly ended the date after I had sex with her and took her out for snowballs the next week

My wife knows no bands. Then she will announce that she doesn't like certain classic rock bands. After that, I will hear a song and she will ask who it is and be surprised when it turns out to be one of the bands she claims not to like/has never fricking bothered to learn about before.

Probably not Van Halen or Aerosmith, but a good amount of folks still get the Led out. Even perky sorostitutes.

Still remember a young coworker telling me about that new song from Queen in the Wayne's World movie.

I know a lot of hippy, liberal-minded millennials who like Zeppelin, but I've yet to meet any sorority gals who are fans.

My 30 yr old cousin had no idea who Neil Young was over Thanksgiving (I can't recall how it was brought up), my GF tried to help her out by explaining he was part of CSNY... a blank stare after...
I was kinda surprised, but not...

My girlfriend grew up in the Soviet Union. She does not know ANY famous musicians. I recently had to explain Jimmy Buffet to her.
