My buddies and I were going to see them in the Superdome a day or so after this concert in BR but if I remember correctly one of the band members kids had a tragic fall and died. The show was cancelled and I never got to see my favorite band.

I never knew they had been in BR at that date until now.

They played Tuscaloosa once, as well.
In 1973.

Yep, not sure if my dad was there, he probably was, but I know my mom was.

She still has her ticket for the Lynyrd Skynyrd show, not sure about Led though.

Eta

First concert I went to was Page/Plant at UNO.

Saw them earlier that year in BR. Was going to see them again when Robert Plant’s son died. Show, maybe tour canceled. I still have my whole ticket for that cancelled show.
I’d have to find it but I think it was $10.

It was Eric Clapton’s son that fell from a few stories out of a hotel window.

I was there. The best live show I have ever seen. And I have seen plenty.

Many of the bandmembers were greatly influenced by southern blues. That's why they played many southern venues that they had probably outgrown. Led Zepp and others

Pretty sure I went to that myself, but that was way down the road from my first concert. IIRC Rusted Root open for them. They were very good musicians and singers but it seemed like every one of their songs was 20 minutes long and sounded the same. Maybe I was just impatient to see Page & Plant.
