During the good 'ol days of vinyl & CDs, you ever check to see the notes on who's in the lineup, only to find out your favorite bandmember had departed, yet some shmoe who brings little to the table still remains album after album?

Or maybe, you see an ad for a once-legendary band coming to town, and after some due diligence, you learn that the only "core" member left is someone no one ever gave a crap about?

I'll post some of my own answers when I get home from work...

Keith Richards would disagree, and so do I lol....

I had a feeling Charlie would be named, and I fully expect someone to name Ringo, as much as I'll disagree with that too

Charlie watts and ringo are both excellent drummers. only misinformed ignorant people would disagree.

I mean, I like Ringo, but isn't he sort of the definition of the "oh yeah, he's also in that band" guy?

I sort of feel the same about Lars in Metallica too. I don't hate the guy and he's not terrible, but he's been pale in comparison to the rest of that band for 30 years.

Metallica would not exist if not for Lars.

I would have gone for Bill Wyman long before Charlie Watts.

Also, all of CCR except for John Fogarty.

When I saw Public Enemy in 2010, Flavor crowd surfed and then after the show ended spent 10 minutes telling a bunch of adults to stay in school... that's the exact opposite of coasting.

Bill Wyman is very underrated, if you actually pay attention to his work, he created some complex bass lines that were crucial to a lot of the Stone' songs. The Rolling Stones are a group where the sum of the parts is much greater than the individual.

The only reason I know this is because my friend played in the band and I saw a couple of their shows, but the Mighty Mighty Bosstones had a guy that just danced like an idiot all night. No playing, no vocals, just spaz dancing.
