After the last prayer is prayed and the service is over, I want "Thriller" played as my casket is being walked out of the church.

I didn't like this song when I was younger. Thought* (eta typo) it was cheesy and overplayed on the radio. The message, however, actually is fairly complex. Shooting for the goal of having "no one cry at your funeral" because you were so full of life and a celebration of the good things, isn't really realistic. But I appreciate its ambition nonetheless. It's a goal worth striving for in life.

I imagine a video montage of pictures set to this will do the job:

A lot of good songs posted here. I like this one.
Man of the Hour - Pearl Jam
Would have to have a few upbeat ones as well.

"The End" from The Beatles Abbey Road. I want it played while people are exiting the church.
It's always been my favorite Beatles song...the guitar back and forth is so good !
And the final words are very uplifting...
"And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love you make"
Already told my wife I hope she does that for me.

Being a big Metallica fan, I’d opt for “Nothing Else Matters.” I like to think it says a bit about my approach to this life.
As a lifelong rasslin’ fan and South Louisiana native, I’ve gotta have Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” played, too. Those who know will understand.
