but at least give some realistic influential bands of the last 20 years.
I just don't think there are any really.

Linkin Park for sure, they've inspired a ton of future bands. They don't fade away either before Chester died they were still selling out arenas, headlining major festivals, and and putting out hits.

what bands would you suggest?

Exactly. Anyone I can think of, he OP covered.

The OP asks a tough question.

What big bands are influnced by LP these days?

I forgot to mention Kings of Leon but I’d put them in there as well

?? well that’s demonstrably false. Those bands have influenced a ton of current bands and the style of music being done today across all genres.

Doesn't sound like it to me. Everything I listen to that was made in the last few years was influenced by 70's or 80's acts.

I think the bands I listed are universally lauded as some of the best of the last 20 years for rock music.

I honestly don’t think they are that influential. One of the best bands of the 90s/00s, absofrickinglutely. But influential, meh.

To me, an influential band is one that influences future generations. So while a lot of bands listed in this thread I like, I don't know that bands in 2040 will cite them as influences.

While I'm not sure of anyone massive I know Bring Me The Horizon, Skillet, Hollywood Undead, RED, and some smaller bands like Icon for Hire and Of Mice and Men.

I think 21 Piolts has said LP was an influence as well not 100% sure though

Also One OK Rock while not big here is massive in Japan, their lead singer actually was part of the Chester Bennington memorial concert
