Anyone mention "Bas Claus" not sure of the spelling.

I was referring to the guy singer, not the girl. She went back to her cover band when West Without broke up. Weird note: The guy singer was once the accordion player for Hunter Hayes, but quit that band right before Hunter got famous.

My wife's relative. She is now called GG by her nieces. We had lunch with GG Shinn's brother over the holidays.
RIP GG Shinn.

My step dad's relative is
Bobby Cure. He was fairly popular locally in NOLA back in the day.

Omg, I was just talking with a friend of mine about the CYO dances. When the band Earth w/Billy Pendleton sang we would stand at the front stage. Such great memories!!

Somehow I missed this thread the first go around. I’ll contribute a few bands that hasn’t been mentioned -
Hagan - best cover/original band late eighties. Craig Juno, Ronnie Snow, John Meyers, Darren Delatte, Sergio Yetta
Dark August - Troy Marks fronted before he went to Razor W. I believe Troy replaced Philip Anselmo.
Four for nothin’ - bass player was brother of the drummer from Exhorder.
Mudbone - mid 90’s college circuit band

The last Jazz Fest that I went to, I specifically went to see GG. Sadly, his health didn’t allow him to play that day.
Another local musician from back in the day was David Fortman.
He was a guitarist for Ugly Kid Joe.
Currently, Jared Dawes is playing the Northshore. He was just recently put up for Grammy consideration (I’m not sure if he is the actual nominee yet). It’s for his song “Road Dog” (country-ish).
