Anyone want to share highlights or magical moments from the past 2 weeks?

Also, anyone blow off the Dead and see Hiatt and Landreth?

Iceman Special rocked the main stage. Been a big fan of there's for a couple years now. Awesome band to watch slowly gain popularity.

Preservation Hall crushed it as well.

Glenn David Andrews band in the Blues tent put on a hell of a show.

Dead and Co were great.

During the Mumford and Sons set they brought Trombone Shorty and some other cool cat up and performed a great version of House of the Rising Sun.

Anders Osborne killed it. Surreal at times in the rain, lightning and darkness.

Totally. Loved he had Jackie Green, Eric McFadden, and horns with him.

There was a huge lightening bolt right by the blues tent while he was playing it was awesome. And yeah he crushed it

Anders definitely kicked arse opening with Louisiana Rain. Jackie Green is the real deal … thoroughly enjoyed their entire set

I went this past Thursday and Saturday. So much good, but a few that stood out for me were
Leon Bridges (even though they were hornless)
J & The Causeways
David Shaw (with the full Revivalists toward the end)

Gary Clark Jr is my new favorite. I thought he might play the filthiest guitar I’d ever heard….until Derek Trucks played right after him. Quite the afternoon/evening for me

Ed Sheeran - extremely talented. Needs to quit being cheap and hire a band.

Iceman Special - They made the cover of Offbeat magazine in March 2020. Good to see them make it through COVID even more popular.

Dumpstaphunk - Always great to catch at Jazz Fest.

Gary Clark Jr. - Another talented musician. Seemed bored to be out on stage. Enjoyed the set though.

Tedeschi Trucks - Susan turned it in to snooze fest as expected. Luckily Susan let Derek play his guitar a little bit.

Marcus King - This show was a real heater, at least the part I saw. Tent was rocking at the end.

Dead and Co was great. Glad I could catch them at the fest.

Radiators still have it.

Trombone Shorty was awesome. Still not tired of him closing out. Bringing Jon Batiste on stage was a great add.

That Anders Osborne show sounds like a good one. I was probably hiding from the rain.

4/7 days which is about my average.

I didn’t think he was bored, I just think he’s rock star cool. At least he didn’t do the tired “let me hear you Jazzfest!! All y’all having a good time” bullshite that I hear so much

Thursday was by far the best day IMO. Great local acts, Santana was good, the best weather.
