It’s the constant virtue signaling in interviews and on social media that I find especially irritating. Just stfu and play your songs.

Nope, lose interest fast after all that. The SJW posturing is made much worse by the fact that the guy is a shadow of the bad arse he started out as in DBT.
You can keep that pussified bs Dad rock crap he puts out these days.

I’m not much on guys preaching politics and I’m not crazy about Isbell doing it either but to compare those two guys is silly. Isbell is a phenomenal song writer and guitar player and Morgan Waller is a bro-country arse clown hack

But letting the inevitable "Bah" out every now and then is acceptable. Just keep buying his product.

Isbell doesnt all you to separate the two. He's my biggest musical disappointment. I can mostly ignore BJ Barham's over the top political views because he's made a genuine effort to connect to all of his fans. Isbell started drinking his own kool-aid and thinks he's the smartest dude on the planet.

My only exposure to Isbell is knowing that he and the Drive By Truckers were really popular on an Auburn board that I post on. I always assumed that they were a Jam band like Widespread Panic, which isn't really my thing either.

Dude, just turn off the interview. Unfollow on social.

Stfu and I don’t really care whether you listen to his songs. This idea that you are forced to try to connect with him outside the song is a bit much though. You are choosing to consume that.

I make this point often.

Everything you hear, sing, watch, eat, or look at. Any art form. A liberal did it. If it makes you smile or tap your foot, thank a liberal. Just the way the brain is wired.

If u phase all of them out, enjoy Hank Jr. , Ted Nugent , Kid Rock , and Dean Cains acting. If I missed a couple I’m willing to learn.

BTW you need to only listen to New Hank Jr. as when he was prime Bocephus he was a liberal by any metric we’d look at today. Nugent too.

What's so funny? That I've never bothered to listen to this dickhead? I listen to plenty of musicians that are probably more talented and not nearly as full of themselves as this prick is.

Where has he addressed racism? He is pro-vax, pro-mask, pro-infanticide and anti-Trump.

Why are you making it seem like this is his pet cause when the guy is willing to send out a Progressive virtue signal on any and every subject that comes up?

If he has solutions to these problems that he cares about, speak out. Other than that, just shut the frick up. Nobody cares about a musician's opinions on politics.
