Whitesnake
Most of this would be pretty close. I know The Cure is coming from the OP and I get that but Depeche Mode hit home a lot too.

The Beatles.
I was an innocent little mop head in the 1960s (“Love Me Do”)
In my teen years, I started experimenting (“Magical Mystery Tour”)
As I matured I settled into a steady stream of love songs (“Something”)
Now I’m into the senior years (“When I’m 64”)

Since I was probably 10 years old all the way through
The Cure’s latest album fit seamlessly and they have 2 nearly finished albums on the way
The single that released Today with Olivia Rodrigo hit me pretty good too
ETA- Hey Cdawg I thought I was your fav poster. Can’t we be friends?

John Lennon
There isn't a single artist that I grew up with that translated early life through rock/pop through the advanced writing of what he was writing later into middle age as John.
