Here comes the sun. Tied for first in my pantheon of greatest beatle tunes.
The group broke up before abbey road was released (john walked). They made this stellar album and one other, let it be in the midst of contentious dealings.
Amazing. Gratitude on my part.

Greatest music ever written? Probably not.
Greatest production and blending of any pop music album side ever? Hell, yes.
My favorite side of any album.
There's the isolated vocal track from this medley online, but it seems to have been pulled from a lot of sites.

The End is the only time John, Paul, and George played lead guitar on a song together. Awesome stuff

It's such a great close. It's even better when you think about how dysfunctional they were and how it's the last piece of music they ever recorded.

not even a top 3 second side of a Beatles album

No. Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach say hello.
But it is damn fine music, some of the best The Beatles ever made.
Abbey Road was the result of an attempt to re-group after the disastrous Let It Be sessions. But as difficult as those sessions were, the Let It Be LP, first shelved and later re-produced and re-mixed by Phil Spector, yielded three #1 hits, Let It Be, Get Back, and The Long And Winding Road.

"Polythene Pam" is the most underrated segment of the medley. Love that song.

I like a lot of Let It be the albums.. Two Of Us, One After 909. I also like the Paul remix 'Let It Be... Naked' with how it was supposed to sound

I like all of Let It Be and Let It Be Naked, too. But it was culled by Phil Spector out of nearly 40 hours of recordings with very mixed results.

The medley? Yup
More accurately described as a bunch of unfinished songs strung together. That's not really a "medley." It's more of a suite.
