Absolute awful thread full of terrible takes.

Taylor Swift is an absolute force. Songwriting, vocals, works with the producers in the highest demand, demonstrated incredible growth and range through her career. To act like she's just some pop idol is ignorant and short sighted.

Why was Madonna or Michael Jackson or Britney Spears popular? They were all vacuous crap.

Most people are simple and love crap.

Wait, did you just include MJ?

That’s as bad as the teenage girls itt that are upset because most people understand and recognize their idol is just not a great singer.

My CFO paid $9K for 6-tickets, and they aren't even good seats.

I would lick her box for the record. IDGAF about her music.

Well hell, we have a 6 page thread about Taylor Swift on The Music Board, and here I am posting in it. Wonders never cease.

She'd take it way too seriously, consider you her boyfriend for a week, break up with you, and then write a song about you.

She'd title it: "Coach Don can't eat box".

False. Her songs are all some variation of the same I'm a heartbroken psycho. Her best songwriting was Folklore and that is because the guys in Bon Iver cowrote most of it.

The National, dipshit. Dessner was also pretty open about the writing process, and he didn't contribute lyrics.

This is why I hate blues music. It's all about sad people who are down and out.

Solid take on music.

I will agree to one aspect...She is very talented, but her shows are about the total experience...The performance, the crowd, the association of being included in something.

Lets be honest it is a lot cooler for teenage girls and especially their moms to feel like they get to do something that others cannot do. How many girls went to school bragging about getting tickets.

She is that unicorn age group crossover that appeals to women of all ages.

Selling out AT&T stadium 3 night in a row is not something that happens… ever.

Her music just doesn't do anything for me.
To each their own.
