How would you generically describe the music you like?

Me: Guitar driven rock. Rock music with strong guitar and vocals and heavy bass/drums. Not metal, but solid rock music with some funk and/or blues influences. I don't mind some piano or keyboard, but I don't want that as an integral part.

Melody-driven and instrumentally sound music of basically any genre. Really appreciate quality harmonies and percussion as well.

My listening habits are way too eclectic and diverse to sum up in a few sentences.

Mine are very diverse as well. But there are still some elements my favorites have in common.

Synthpop-rock with a retro vibe.

Inspired. I don't think there are any genres I won't dabble in, I just need it to sound like a piece of someone's soul is in it. I think the center of my musical taste is jazz-inspired prog, which is where a lot of my sensibilities come from. I just absolutely despise insipid music.

mainly guitar-based power pop/rock with a little white boy blues influence on the side

The three artists I listen to the most currently are probably RUSH, Devin Townsend and The Weeknd. No real connection between them except they're all Canadian.

Pretty much everything except modern country and EDM
Came of age in the 90’s so rap, rock, R&B are my go to’s

Probably this if I have to stick to two sentences to describe. Melody is king. From Steely Dan to Dua Lipa...Celiene Dion to Sleep Token...Keith Whitley to Bilmuri....
I listen to just about anything but hip-hop/rap...

I couldn't do it.
I love so much stuff from so many different genres.
I'm generally mostly about lyrics, but you have to have a great memorable melody also. Everything has to fit just right.
Got something you like? Just never stop working on it.

So you don't like to really work on stuff?
A bunch of people don't.

Instrumental driven progressive and jam melody heavy songs with a blues southern background that force you to stop what you’re doing and pay attention to them especially slower building songs with tempo changes and long musical interludes in them.
