They were about to tour but Roy died. Then they tried to get Del Shannon but he killed himself. Then they went after Elvis Costello and Dave Edmonds and they couldn't do it because of their contracts. It would have been good to have been able to see them.

Lynne - how many times will this be misspelled on this thread? LOL

I was a huge ELO fan in the 1980’s and was surprised to see Lynne included in the lineup at the time since most people didn’t know him by name. For those that only associate Lynne / ELO with their pop music days, you should check out their first four albums (No Answer, Electric Light Orchestra II, On the Third Day, and Eldorado) which more closely resemble progressive rock.

I used to be crazy about TP, but the more I listen to Tom Petty the more I dislike him.
