Going to a concert solo

Has anyone here ever done it and is it going to be weird? I have one out of town I’ve had my eye on, but I know none of my friends/family want to go.

Depends what band.
A once in a life time event, yes.
A band I’ve seen before or will come around again, maybe not.

I do it all the time. Especially for shows that have open floor or general admission. I don't have many friends here with the balls to go to all the metal shows I like to go to so about half the shows I go to I go alone. It is much easier to upgrade your ticket to pit or 100 level if it is only one person at a big amphitheater show. You can get there as early as you want and leave whenever you want.

I do it a lot.
A lot of my friends and family the past few years aren't able to go cuz of their other obligations, so I've gone to a few concerts by myself, and it's amazing either way. Just go enjoy the music, have a good time, and make friends with other decent people who have the same taste in music as you. I like going to concerts with friends and family, but going alone is fun as hell too.

If you’re going to enjoy the live music it’s a no lose situation.

I didn’t go to a rock concert for 20 years until this year. I went solo to see L7 in Nashville Monday night and had a blast. You’re not gonna be the only one flying solo there. Make new friends while you’re there.
If you really have a band you wanna see, go see them. Don’t wait til it’s too late.

I’ve been to plenty of concerts solo. Indoor, outdoor, festival, day time whatever. There’s nothing weird about it and I’ve never had a bad experience. Sometimes you make friends and sometimes you just enjoy the show.

dude, if you like a certain band or want to hear live music just F'kn go. Ain't no big deal as the only person you have to worry about is yourself. I've done it dozens of times

I go to shows by myself all the time.
As a matter of fact, I'd really, in most cases, prefer to be by myself. The last two times I've gone with someone else, it was a shite show. Last time, I got so fed up with the dipshit podnah I was with that I turned around halfway to the venue and brought him back to their home, then went back to see the show and had a blast.
