He isn't gay, but has two uncles that are
Sounds like any relationship
Thrift Shop and Can't Hold Us got their name out there too

I've seen how fickle many gay relationships are, but I've also seen many that have lasted decades and are full of love

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis got tons of great publicity from the song, it launched them worldwide honestly.

The divorce rate is at 50% without gay marriage. I don't think gay fickleness will be an issue.

I thought it was written pretty well. It was done in a classy way and has a good message. I wish more rap had positive messages.
Another one that comes to is A Million Lives by Jake miller. Talks about a kid with cancer and a kid who's bullied.
Yeah the mailman knocked said it was for me
Handed me a box, sent from Tennessee
Written on the top "for jakes eyes only"
Inside was a journal and letter that he wrote me
It said my name is Dillon I'm in 7th grade
I'm ridiculed and picked on almost everyday
Yeah they push me in the halls in between my classes
Yesterday they took my books then broke my glasses
I got no one to talk to, its like I don't exist
Sometimes I wonder if I was gone, would I be missed?
But lemme tell the real reason for this letter
You've helped me through it all, you've help me feel better
You're words gimme confidence, your messages inspire me
You help me find my inner strength deep inside me
Through all the bad times, you helped me find the light
Believe or not, you saved my life

I like it and the general message it's trying to send.
Like someone said, better than most hip-hop songs out.

I like the tune, but I'm not sure about the lyrics....he seems more concerned about talking about his homosexuality than making a good song....I care about good music, gay musician or not.
If you want to talk about your life struggles with being gay write a book.
Did you even listen to the song? Dude isn't gay his uncle is.
It's a fvcking awesome song IMO, been out for a long time though.

Yea, love this one as well:
It's the same hate that's caused wars from religion
Gender to skin color, the complexion of your pigment
The same fight that led people to walk outs and sit ins
It's human rights for everybody, there is no difference!
Live on and be yourself
When I was at church they taught me something else
If you preach hate at the service those words aren't anointed
That holy water that you soak in has been poisoned

After looking closer at the lyrics that's a small part that indicates it, but I don't really listen to it all that much and I'm more about the sounds being made for the most part unless the words are just that awful like PINK!...(She has an exclamation in her name right?)

For anyone who likes this song and Macklemore's other stuff, "Starting Over" is unreal and probably my favorite song on the album.

Yes, white people don't like black people only because their skin is a different color.

I think people have always realized that skin color isn't the only difference between races.
