This is as subjective as my favorite movie. It changes and evolves with time.
Once upon a time I would have said Moving Out by Billy Joel
Then later Arena by Colourbox.
Then Everybody Wants to Rule the World
Then my whole world changed in an instance when I walked into a record store on Chimes and this was blaring and I just stood there dumbfounded.
I can't say anything in the last 30 years hit as hard even though Janes Addiction is in my top 5 bands of all time.

This Boy from Meet The Beatles; I’ve had my copy of the album for over 50 years now and the song still jumps out.

Off thread subject but I’ve listen to this Spoon album a couple times through today. It’s really good. Thanks for posting it, You’ve got really good taste in music. We would probably be really good friends if I knew you
I liked every song. My favorites so far are My Babe and Wild

As I have gotten older (closing in on 63), that is more and more difficult for me. I do not know if I have an all-time favorite band, album, or song anymore. It all muddles together in a mish-mash of eclectic goodness
I just can't settle on a pick or even two or three. SO I'll just enjoy what you guys post.

Same. Countless nights over the years I've gone out at 2a to take photographs in the fog with the extended version of this & "A Forest" playing in my headphones. Driving all over the place for my job. Sitting on my back porch during a rainstorm. This song has spoken to me from the day it came out.
I'll give Cdawg props for Peter Murphy, too. Been on a PM bender since early June. "Deep" was, and still is, an absolute masterpiece. Surprisingly, it's been great for my daily 10 mile runs.
