re: We are now hated again...

You knew they would rear their heads soon enough. People hate LSU on a regular day. They really hate it when we get the things we want.

Lane knows how to handle people trashing him. They've done it for most of his career.

In some ways, that's part of what makes him perfect for LSU. People love to hate LSU until they can't ignore how good we are. However, once LSU is in the spotlight, all eyes are looking to find a way to marginalize our wins/season/program.

People have done exactly the same with Lane up until 2 years ago, more specifically this year. He's done so well they can't ignore him anymore. Now, the scrutiny comes & the trash talk begins.
I get the feeling you're the kind of person that resigns from an employer and doesn't work their full two weeks' notice.

Kiffen wants to finish what he started and go out with some class. This idea he would actively try to lose to be loyal to LSU fans is preposterous. Grow up, man.

re: OU game. Anyone going?

I remember this game. My sister & I (both alumnae) had just graduated two years before.

We were in 600 section of the Dome surrounded by OU fans. They literally had one chant and were not friendly at all.

Hoping I'll have a different experience with their fans in Norman at the game.
I'll be there. My former CEO (~85yo) & I have stayed friends over the years. He's OU grad, I'm LSU grad. He has some pretty sweet tickets on 50 yd line. We've talked about going to our teams' matchup for years & it's finally happening.

Even if the Tigers lose, I'll be there amidst a sea of red & white, *possibly* with a gold hat, Geaux Tigers giant purple foam #1 finger, and LSU alumni jacket to support the team and my colors.
Peak 120 Minutes list. 88 is my Ride or Die year.
20 year road warrior here. I average 40-50k miles/year. Have had company cars and car allowances.

I always chose a Chevy Impala w/ upgrades for company car. Comfortable, can fit four to five people. Good trunk space. Can use 87 or 89 octane gas.

For car allowances, have had Volvo S60, Audi A5, & on my 3rd Mercedes. First two MB were C300s. Great car. I hated the new interior with everything controlled by a tablet. Got the E450. Game changer. I see why the E class is their "work horse" model.

More comfortable than the Audi. Fits 4 adults. Great trunk space. Excellent sound system (a must for all the driving). Best self-driving & lane assist in cruise mode I've had in any vehicle (rent car or owned). Safety features like geofencing and alerts when my car is possibly hit in a parking garage. These give a ton of peace of mind as a business traveler. Best emergency response and roadside assistance.

Never buy brand new. I got a program car with 7k miles in December 2023. I'm almost to 60k miles now and it runs like the day I bought it. These engines are tough and built to last. Just make sure you keep regular & on-time service schedule.
Great! I'll definitely let you know when we're coming over. We usually stay at The Municipal, so right within walking distance. I'll let the in-laws know, too. They all live in The Wirral, but go to the city all the time to eat. They're always looking for good, new, places & loved Louisiana food when they visited us.

Very happy for you. My husband and I have often discussed how well a real cajun place would do over there, even if it was just poboys, jambalaya, and maybe some etouffee or something. We float the idea of opening a chip shop type place (walk-up) or food truck every year during our visit. Eager to see if you guys turn into the new Mowgli!
Where will it be located? Liverpool 1? Husband is Liverpudlian & we go back every year to visit family. Generally, in September when the Tigers are playing easy games.

Will definitely stop in & it won't be hard to convince the fam to meet us there for a meal. I'll be sure to wear something LSU. He & his family are all LFC, but I turned him into a proper, die-hard, Tiger fan. I think we can all agree as long as ManU isn't in the conversation, we're all good.

Good luck & just an idea we've always talked about doing in Liverpool that would absolutely be a hit... my husband had some leftover frito misto one day from Domenica the night before. I picked up a loaf of poboy bread. He put the frito misto on there, then put my leftover tikka masala sauce on top. Curry fried seafood poboy. It was top!
Strange how they're releasing songs weekly-ish from this album. Even though they're populating in my iTunes (pre-ordered album), I'm holding off on listening until full album is available 11/1. So ready.
