David Gilmour/Roger Waters Beef Heating Up

The explosive tiff between Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters and ex-bandmate David Gilmour has resurfaced.
77-year-old rocker Roger took to his personal website on Tuesday to upload a cutting statement detailing the latest drama in his ongoing feud with David, 75.
The current matter concerns the re-release of Pink Floyd's 1977 LP Animals, which, Roger explains has 'languished unreleased because of a dispute over some sleeve notes that [biographer] Mark Blake has written for this new release,' and that 'Gilmour has vetoed the release of the album unless these liner notes are removed'.
'This is a small part of an ongoing campaign by [Gilmour and his wife Polly Samson] to claim more credit for Dave on the work he did in Pink Floyd, 1967-1985, than is his due.
'Yes he was, and is, a jolly good guitarist and singer. But, he has for the last 35 years told a lot of whopping porky pies about who did what in Pink Floyd when I was still in charge. There’s a lot of “we did this” and “we did that,” and “I did this” and “I did that".'
'I am in the middle of writing my Memoirs and inevitably some of it contains references to some of the content above,' he explains. 'For anyone with a faint heart, I suggest you sit down, but anyone who likes a good laugh, sit back and f**king howl! I’m going to sit back and howl along with you!'
Roger also explains that he is posting the statement to his person website because he is 'banned by Dave Gilmour from posting on Pink Floyd’s Facebook page with its 30,000,000 subscribers'

Been listening to Pink Floyd for almost 30 years now. I love Roger Waters' music. The Wall is an all time favorite of mine.
However, Roger is an insufferable douche. Watch any interview with him and you'll immediately know why Pink Floyd will never re-unite again. Waters politics doesn't really bother me much, nothing he's done recently has surprised me.
I can't really blame David here. It's hard to forget someone you've known for many years suing you.

Dude quit the band and has done nothing but sue and whine to the media for 30+ years. Now he's attempting to release memoirs that air creative grievances from 50 years ago? Get over yourself Roger.

Welcome to the 1940s.
Talented songwriter. Really below average human being.

Seriously. These guys don't have much time left on the planet. Seems a shame to waste it over ridiculous personal squabbles.
Honestly, I'm beginning to be a bigger fan of Brit Floyd. You get all the great music with none of the petty backstabbing melodrama.

Who cares? It's Pink Floyd.

Waters is a liberal Cuck. Frick Him. Gilmore does not need him anymore

Old people fighting is interesting. Figured they would just be happy to still be alive.

It sounds like he should accept that PF was at its best when It was "WE" and not "ME". The best music they made had keyboards, guitars, lyrics and beautiful melodies contributed by all of the band members. I get the fact that Rog had some cool ideas and wrote a few special songs, but for the love of God he played the freakin bass. It takes a special kind of person to have millions of adoring fans, countless riches(and ex-wives) and have such a black heart. Poor me again Rog?? 4Q Roger....4Q

Waters was the brain and Gilmour was the soul. Gilmour was talented enough to be an amazing musician on his own. His solo work is amazing.
Waters is a pompous jackass and he wouldn’t have been anyone without Wright and Gilmour. He was a great lyricist and ok composer but he does not have the musical ability to be worth a shite without the other members of Pink Floyd. And he’s always had the inability to admit or accept that fact and he resents his band mates for their talents he doesn’t possess.
Waters is a pathetic person who lucked into great band mates.

Some musicians are Pigs, some are Dogs, some are Sheep and some are assholes.

You would think old arse Roger would be less bitter after all these years. But he's always been petty. I did, however, see his tour of The Wall twice. Absolutely fantastic.
