Love Bowie, particularly the Ziggy Stardust album, but you can't really go wrong.

For a fun twist, check out Easy Star All Stars' version:

I wasn't fond of Let's Dance when it came out. Now, I like it. It's good. I still can't get into Cat People, both the song and the pet preference.

Bowie is one of a few artists that has songs I love and also songs I hate. Cannot stand Blue Jean and Let's Dance. Like, I truly hate them.

They've given that treatment to a few classic albums:

Thriller
OK Computer
Dark Side of the Moon
Sgt. Pepper

All worth a listen, but I keep coming back to Ziggy and Dub Side of the Moon.

You need to watch the 2022 videography Moonage Daydream - solid soundtrack (45 songs), and I was blown away by all the old video footage the director was able to obtain. Lots of raw glam rock and Diamond Dogs concert footage. At times, you will feel like you're on an acid trip as the music and video will take you to outer space. Very trippy.

10. Fame (written by Bowie and John Lennon)
9. Heroes
8. Ashes to Ashes
7. Life on Mars
6. Alladin Sane (killer piano solos)
5. The Man Who Sold the World
4. All the Young Dudes
3. Space Oddity
2. Starman
1. Moonage Daydream

the Young Americans album was released in 1975 and featured John Lennon and Luther Vandross on backup vocals

I like "Starman" a lot.

He wrote that about Marc Bolan.

Scary Monsters.... Great tune.

"When I looked in her eyes, they were blue but nobody home.
Well, she could've been a killer if she didn't walk the way she do.
And she do."

Love most of his work, for me I have 2 favorites. Panic in Detroit and Modern Love. First time I saw someone wearing a Kufi was the drummer on Modern Love.

Bowie was a rare talent that could reinvent himself over the years.
The dancers on Soul Train were amazed to find out he was a white man.
This was a huge hit in all of the black R&B markets

David Bowie composed the lyrics and music for almost 90% of the songs he ever recorded, by himself. A staggering musical talent. The remainder were selected covers and/or co-writes

One of the greatest songwriters who ever lived

“Let’s Dance” was one of my favorite songs from the golden age of MTV, and probably my favorite music video of all time. On my last visit to Australia, my friends were kind enough to drive me 7 hours into the bush to the town of Carinda, NSW where the video was shot at the St. George Hotel. Had a beer or two. Stood where Bowie stood. Saw some red shoes (but didn’t dance the blues).

CSB.

One of the few true creative geniuses in popular music. Heroes and Rebel, Rebel are great, but Ziggy and the Spiders from Mars is killer…
