I believe the loss of the industrial base and death of decent working class lifestyles had something to do with it. The huge growing underclass is largely dysfunctional

My theory for the death of rap, country and rock is there is no struggle anymore. The world is amazing especially in the USA. The worst you have it is an iPhone and only one car.

Pretty much and our art reflects this. I mean, we've moved on to microaggressions.

There's nothing wrong with greed as long as you're principled

Of course, after that, Waylon Jennings tried to kill Waylon Jennings with pills and cocaine.

And that's why we relate to his music so well.

Truth. Rock had soul and passion. Today's robot bullshite music is soulless nonsense. Kids just don't understand.

There’s been a pretty obvious correlation between the ills of society and the popularity of rap.

Such as?

Plus as you’ve probably heard, correlation doesn’t equal causation.

Totally agree. It's sad what passes for a rock band nowadays. A bunch of hipsters in horn rimmed glasses and skinny jeans.

Mr. Mojo Risin is turning over in his grave.

I’ve never heard of any of these bands.

Edit: I not a big fan of Rock Bands with chicks as the lead singer.

There's a ton of great rock being made out there. The problem is that FM radio
exactly. The rock station here plays the same shite from 15-20 years ago and very rarely do they play anything new
