That's actually a cover of a Hank Jr. song that Bocephus wrote about himself (and about his wife). Maybe you can consider it Jr's tribute to his then wife.

I'm a bit surprised no one has mentioned Elton's Candle in the Wind (Marilyn) or the revised version for Diana.
