Allman Bros Band(original lineup)
Jimi Hendrix Experience
Rolling Stones at their peak
Humble Pie (just because it was so much fun)
a few others

Small venues:
Bonnie Raitt at Jimmy's Music Club before she got straight and was still raunchy and her band was great.
Lightnin' Hopkins at some bar near Lafayette
Son Volt early on at Howlin' Wolf
Eric Clapton and his straight blues band at HOB

If James or Kirk had run around the stadium and caused tittypalooza, I'd probably be giving them the blue ribbon.

You are right though, LB put on a great, great show.

That was an awesome concert; I wish Mudvayne would've played later in the lineup. But, damn, that was a LONG arse concert. When we finally decided we better eat something, all the concessions were closed. The people I was with were begging to leave, and being the only big Metallica fan in the group, I watched the end of their set down flights of stairs making our way out of the stadium.

Easily the best concert I've ever been to. Just an awesome lineup of bands. You're right about eating though. Funny thing is when we left we ended up eating at a Denny's near the stadium under the name Shaquille O'Neal. At least we got a laugh out of it.

I'm not a fan of their music and was bored after a song or two, but I can see why you liked it...

I saw the Stones in 1978 with the Doobie Bros and a new band named Van Halen. The Stones pretty much got their asses handed to them that night.

It was one of those bands that I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to their records, but live, that was some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.

Deftones have amazed me more each time I've seen them, starting in 1997 through this year.

Will probably forget some but:

Larger venues
Blue Oyster Cult/Foghat -- Oct. 81 @ Centroplex
Ozzy/BOC/Vandenburg/Leroux -- March 83 @ Fairgrounds
Dio -- Dec. 83 @ The Saenger
Ozzy/Accept -- June 84 in Biloxi
Iron Maiden -- Feb. 85 in Biloxi and 3 nights later at Lakefront Arena
Accept -- August 85 @ The Saenger (Top 3 or 4)
Metallica -- August 89 in Biloxi

Saw most of those acts numerous times but those were the best of the bunch.

Saw the first three Lollapaloozas in Orlando and had a great time at all three. Probably enjoyed the second one in 92 the most.

Smaller Venues (my preference)
Saxon/Armored Saint -- March 86 @ Texas Club
Sepultura -- August 91 @ Shades Nightclub in Orange Park FL
Soundgarden -- Dec. 91 @ The Milk Bar in Jacksonville (Top 3 or 4 as well)
Pearl Jam -- April or May 92 @ The Edge in Orlando
Kreator -- 92 @ Milk Bar in Jax
Ice-T & Body Count/Exodus -- 92 @ Milk Bar in Jax
White Zombie -- Jan 93 @ Shades in Orange Park (Top 5)
Helmet -- May 93 @ The Edge in Jacksonville
Tool -- 93 @ The Edge in Jax
Anthrax/White Zombie -- August 93 in Tampa and 4 days later at The Edge in Jax
Black Sabbath/Motorhead -- 94 @ The Edge in Jax
Smashing Pumpkins -- 94 @ Florida Theatre in Gainesville
Corrosion of Conformity/Crowbar/Alabama Thunderpussy -- June '05 @ Freebird Live in Jax Beach
Exodus -- Oct. '05 @ Jackrabbits in Jax
Crowbar -- Nov. '10 @ The Pit in Jax
Clutch -- April '11 @ Freebird in Jax Beach
Helmet -- Oct. '11 @ The Pit in Jax
Cannibal Corpse -- April '12 @ Freebird Jax Beach

Saw a bunch more but these are the best. Probably forgot a few that I would have added but tired of typing anyway.
