Best: The Clash ‘79? Joe Ely opened. Epic show to which I attribute my hearing loss.
Worst: Dwight Yoakam mid-‘90s. Clearly did not want to be playing at the club he was playing. Went thru the motions and way too loud.

Best: Cross Canadian Ragweed at Cowboy’s LCH. Hell of a night.
Limp Bizkit killed it at Reliant HOU for Metallica Summer Sanitarium tour. Easily the best set. The titties, my god, the titties.
Worst: Elton John at LAF Cajundome I think. Happy I got to add it to the list, but meh.

KISS New Orleans 96 Reunion tour was the best. KISS 2000 in Pensacola was the worst, Ace kept disappearing under the stage you could tell they were done.

Metallica-black album tour. no opening acts and 3 hours of old and new( up until that time) material. Jackson, ms
Go smack with deftones should get some mention as well.

worst- a tie between James Taylor and Dylan. No passion what so ever, just walked to the mike and played the hits songs. I could have put up a 8x10 pic at the house and put on a greatest hits comp and it would have been the same
Best-KISS in 1977, Alive II tour in B'ham

Peter Gabriel for the worst and it is not even close.
Came out and did 2 hours of African tribal music. The only song everyone wanted to hear was Sledgehammer and he did not do it.
The best would be a tie between the first big Garth Brooks tour that went thru the old Texas Stadium and any Paul McCartney show.

Worst?
Chris Stapleton.
He has the personality of a wet paper bag on stage and is boring as shite.

Best: David Gilmour at the Hollywood Bowl 2016. No opener. Three hour show (with intermission). Ended the first half with High Hopes, which was stunning, and the show closer Comfortably Numb was transcendent.
Worst: A concert at Disney Hall that had a piece by Steve Reich called Three Tales. It was three movements, the first based on the Hindenberg, the second on the Bikini Atoll and the last on Dolly the cloned sheep. The conductor and performers did an amazing job and if the piece had been 10 minutes it would have been interesting but at 70 minutes it was rough. The only concert I have ever been to where some in the audience (not me) booed. And Steve Reich was there.

Best was Andrae Crouch at the Von Braun center in 1977, followed closely by ELO in Nashville in 2019.
Coolest was seeing Mac McAnally inside Cumberland Caverns.
I don’t really have a worst.

I have never in my life heard ANYBODY say a Prince show sucked that went to see him. Wow!!
Be honest. Are you prediposed to just hating him? Or did you truly go there with an open mind and he still sucked?

I've never seen elton but I've heard that he always has insane energy and puts on a hell of a show. Waht was it about yours that made it so bad?

Best: Lynyrd Skynyrd. Memphis 2008.
Worst: Hank Williams Jr. Right before them. Stumbled out on stage, sat on a stool and played a 30 minute acoustic mashup of all his songs. “Country boy can survive, cause he’s a dinosaur, and all his rowdy friends have settled down.” Skynyrd might have felt bad, which was why they put more energy into it.

Best: KISS reunion in the Dome
Worst : Spin Doctors should have never taken the stage after Screaming Trees and Soul Asylum.

Gotcha, I saw Mojo at the Chimes at some point. Don't remember if the Dick Nixons opened but I saw them a bunch so their shows just run together these days.

I’ve seen hundreds of concerts and some have been really, really great. The worst is easy. All things considered, I generally like to say the best was Phish 12/31/95 at MSG and the worst, hands down, without question, was Phish at Coventry 2004.

This might've been the tour where he did a whole bunch of songs with Leon Russell

Worst was easily Dylan at the zoo. It could have been any male in a sombrero and I would not have known the difference. 2nd worst was Elvis Costello. He played exactly one of his hits then nothing else but the next album that wasn't even out yet.
