Don’t know how I missed them. Went to their first sold out show in NYC.

Yeah, Hip Abduction is a good one. If I ever need to turn my mood from down to up, they're one of my go-to's.

It seems like these 2 have been around longer than that, but you're right. Quality additions.

If you can include Lorde, I can include Aurora. She's fantastic.

The first studio releases from both of them came out in 2010.

Does Greta get shite on cause it sounds like Led? It makes no sense to me. In a time when there isnt much quality new rock, we’ll shite on greta van fleet cause they sound like someone else.

They get shite on because they are basically the most derivative band in the history of rock music. They might as well be a cover band based on their music and the image that the label carefully cultivated around them. They're little more than a boy band with rock instrumentation. Maybe they grow up and shed the crafted image, but until then they'll get the side-eye treatment from hardcore fans of rock music.

Fair enough. With that said, their music is good and Im a big led zep fan myself. So politics aside, when I play their music I really enjoy it so why should I hate personally hate on them for it. To each their own though.

Only among music critics and internet snobs is sounding too much like the greatest band of all time considered a bad thing.

If the biggest mark against my band was that we sounded too much like :insert your favorite classic rock band name here:, then we must be doing something right in an era dominated by marshmallow, 21 pilots, lumineers, bastille, and billy eilish being promoted as the faces of “rock”.

Isles - Arse-kickin' music
Viagra Boys - Post-punk, in your face fun music.
Khruangbin - Mostly instrumental, fusion of funk/groove/psych/soul
Tennis - beautiful sound
Parquet Courts - Just plain cool
C'MON (CMON?) - new to the scene, weirdos
Part Time - Spell #6 is one of my favorite albums

black midi
Fuzz
Meatbodies
Natural Child
Wand
All Them Witches
Khruangbin
$uicideboy$

There are hundreds more but these are some of the few that are always in rotation

Saw viagra boys and IDLES above, both are rock solid.

As for the Greta debate...there's a big difference between sounding like Led Zeppelin and trying to copy Led Zeppelin. Vocals, song structure, outfits...idk it's pretty sickening to me, I can't understand how they even made it to relevance. Zoso has 10x the chops of their guitar player, your boy is extra hella average of a guitar player
