The Good Year Pimps. They held out for years in court with Goodyear before caving, later returning to the name, more court battles and are now, The Pimps.

The Statler Brothers took their name from Statler Facial Tissue. They used to joke that if they had stayed in a different hotel they could have been The Kleenex Brothers.

I didn't know until years later that Danny Carey played the drums on 3 Little Pigs and Les Claypool, Pauly Shore, and Maynard did the pigs' voices. What a weird bit of 90's trivia.

You never called Stone Temple Pilots "STP"? They used that as a t-shirt for a while. I had one in the 90s.

Sure, but that is not their name and they were not named after STP Oil Treatment.

It was their name briefly, after a stint as Mighty Joe Young. But they got static from the oil treatment folks and expanded the moniker to Stone Temple Pilots.
