I really like the unplugged version of Plush.

I like them and I think Weiland was one of the greatest frontmen of rock.

Favorite: Either Sour Girl or Crackerman

I liked them okay till I saw them at the River Center back in 2010 after which I became a full on fan. The recent show at Champions Square and the new album showed me that the DeLeo brothers were far more responsible for their appeal than they were given credit for when Weiland was alive. I don't hold much hope that people will give it a fair shake but latest lineup with the new singer is damn good.

Love me some STP. Probably in my top 10 bands. I too, saw them at voodoo 2000. Hands down the best voodoo lineup.

Saw STP a few times live....Voodoo Fest 2000 will still go down as one of the greatest nights of my life. Front Row, STP in their late prime.

Were you able to jump the barricades and be right up on the stage? Weiland had shaved his head and the sweat was pouring off of him right onto us. It was gross. lol

I never understood, and still don’t understand, why STP was labeled a Pearl Jam clone when they hit it big.

Agree. There was a huge backlash against them when Core came out over this. I never understood it, either. I’m glad they overcame it. Shame about Weiland, but like Staley, you could always sense that it was inevitable. Scott just lasted longer.

I guess I like them fine, but I could not name one of their songs. Wouldn't change the channel if they came on though.

I saw them with Weiland (2011?) at the Hard Rock in Biloxi, and it was a 10/10. And I wasn’t a real fan of them going in. I’m a metal guy - Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. and ‘80s hair metal. Never bought an alternative album in my life. Ignored that whole era of music other than what was on the radio.

Hadn’t been to any good concerts in a while and STP was coming to the Hard Rock - I was just looking for something to do. It’s one of my favorite venues because it is small enough to have a “club” feel but has a big enough stage and PA system to feel like a real concert. I googled STP to see if they had enough songs I knew to make it worth my time. Realized I was familiar with a bunch of their songs but just didn’t know the names of them if you asked me. Also Weiland was back with the group and I loved him with Velvet Revolver. Talked the wife into going.

It ended up being one of my all time favorite concerts - and I’ve been to a LOT of concerts. The place was as packed as I’ve ever seen it. The crowd was singing along with all of the big songs. If you’ve ever been to Hard Rock, the floor has a bit of bounce to it when a large crowd gets into it. The place was literally rocking that night. I’ve been to few concerts that could match the crowd energy that night. It was a surreal experience for a guy who wasn’t a fan of the band going in. When I got home that night I bought their greatest hits cd on Amazon. Been a fan ever since.
